Jørgen Karlstrøm – Composer and musician.


Educated at the Norwegian Academy of Music Oslo, Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin, and the Grieg Academy in Bergen. MA from the Norwegian Academy of Music with a thesis on instrumentation and timbre control in acoustic ensembles with the help of computer.


Written music for numerous ensembles and musicians, including the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Oslo Sinfonietta, Ensemble NeoN, the Arditt quartet, Christian Lindberg, Pierre-André Valade, Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Rolf Gupta.


Started the record label Mere Records together with K.O. Sunde in 2008.
